Hi mate that was me & great to now see you on the forum. Think you've changed her a little since we last met but as I said definitely a cracking little pick up. I was back there today watching truck/other racing and witnessed some bugger trying to remove my Fun centre caps! Luckily he couldn't prize them off the wheels but we couldn't get back to the car quickly enough to nab him :(

Hope collectively we can help you out as & when needed , all the best, Rob

Hi rob. Yes your right since we meet I have fitted a vw mk2 caddy pick up front grill, managed to find a almost mint tailgate so no more cut down cube van doors on it anymore and at the moment I am working on fitting a full ford focus coilover kit to it. The front suspension components have all been taken off repainted and new parts fitted. Using powerflex mk1 golf lower arm bush kit. It was a bit of a nightmare to be fair but handles so much better for it. Also had to roll my front wing as its sitting a lot lower than before. I will check in on here from time to time and no doubt have a couple of questions and hopefully answer some too. More photos. Thanks again Rob

Great stuff & good to have you on board ;)

Welcome! It's dead handy on here. I have a question - are the focus coilovers straight off the peg or did you have to do some fettling to get them to fit? Love the cups, probably the only alloy wheels I'd have instead of my steelies.

It all depends on what you would class as fettling. The top mount part fitted perfectly with the set I got. But I did have to get the bottom of the shock where it slips in to the hub milled down by about a 1mm. Then that end fitted perfect too nice and tight. Then just cut the brake pipe holder off the coilover as it was hitting and also the arb fixing as not needed

Hey sorry to bring up an old subject here but what rear set up did you use on your pickup was it the focus springs or something different i here most people are using mk4 golf rear springs?
