iOS is great. I dont think you can deny that. Its just for me I prefer android as its much more free in what I can do. Apps on the play store are less restricted and unlike iOS you can install apps from non store locations entirely without voiding handset warranty (its a standard feature on android, some carriers do block it though, its rather handy on the kindle fire). The device is often cheaper yet just as well built and often more powerful than an apple device too. On the other hand everything in iOS does just work, its running on a limited set of hardware, android cant even make its mind up about MIPS, ARM or x86 (all 3 are available).

My next tech purchase I am hoping will be an ASUS Transformer TF300T. Had a go on one and it is a lovely piece of hardware.

  • Be aware that if you go for 8GB almost 4GB of that is already taken so in real terms you have only 4GB free and NO micro SD expansion slot.
