Hi. Mine arrived today. Took just 2 weeks to arrive.

Popped them on tonight after washing the car. Took about 30 mins all in. Used the existing screws for the arch liner. No need to remove the wheels as i just put full lock on at the front and although the rears were a tight fit for my hands an Allen key shaped star head saved the day!

Very pleased and they look ok too.

Here you go:

Hi, what tyre shine is that, Meguiars? I use it now, wish I'd found it earlier after years of the spray stuff going everywhere!

ive just ordered these ones off ebay 15£ for all 4 mud flaps bargin :) and i no they will look good as i only have the white and black VRS

I just got mine from ebay same £15 but i thought i had been reamed the box seemed too small and too light to contain 4 mudflaps but sure enough they were in there , very lightweight and quite a bit smaller than the oem ones , only offerred them up so far but they look like they will fit nicely

This is the stuff I use

Fitted the chinese ones last night , significantly less fiddly than doing the OEM one but much smaller and not so well made so no surprise there

Hi

Just received my mudflaps from eBay today, fronts went on ok,the rears seem a different shape to the bumper, anyone else had this?

Tried always to get them to fit, not sure what to do given they say they don't fit Vrs on their website.

Did yours just fit straight on,might have to get Orem ones from the Skoda shop for £17ish

Thanks

Dave

I found this with the ones I purchased too, had a little offcut bit to fit in the grooves, and so i just put them in some rather hot water to soften up a bit, then they fitted perfectly and still moulded to the sill shape now.

Was this the front ones or back ones.?

Will try the hot water thing tomorrow, it might have warmed up a little by then.

The front flaps were the ones that didn't fit so well with the groove and the rear were slightly out of shape towards the middle of the curve.. but used hot water with both and a slight bit of force and now look good! Although I wish I had taken the wheels off because I ripped my hands to shreds! :giggle:

Fellow Race Blue estate owner :) Which one's did you get out of interest. Really wanting some for mine but I'm a bit confused about which ones to go for. Any noticeable improvement on mud/water splashes up the doors and tailgate?

These are the ones i went for cost me about 45 quid all togeher with gst and postage.

I only fitted them today(in rain) and car is also dirty so cant comment on mud/water splashes yet but once i have cleaned car and driven in rain, i will keep you posted.

The black wheels really grabbed me when i saw my car for the first time, but I must say, I really think the silver wheels of yours suit a race blue estate very well.

lovely looking car mate, I really like the black wheels, I have been thinking since I got mine would be black wheels have looked better, also brake dust won't show on them so car won't look as dirty as quick as silver. How long have you had the car? What are your thoughts on it?

Trev those back flaps (sounds so wrong!) look very small and smaller than the ones on mine And the ones posted before yours

Yeah I had thought the rear ones do look pretty small, time will be tell if the make a difference or not. I thought front ones looked about same size as other's on here though.

You'd be surprised, brake dust is still quite noticeable, unless its just me looking too hard :) The wheels do look particularly grey after a couple of days. Had the car about 5 weeks now and I have loved every second of it, where else can you get a car so practical and spacious and still be this much fun?

Exactly as you say thats what i love about it, its great as a family car huge boot, drive in D mode, but then i can leave them at home and go for a blast in manual, so much fun like having two different cars
