Featured Replies

is there an easy way to change the bulbs

pay someone.,.... j

Nope it's hard fiddly work it's easier if you have the car up in the air

it really is a pain in the ass, it is physically possible to do it with the lights on the car, but you leave som much skin behind its scary!! lol

Can agree with that, had very little skin left!! (will wear thin gloves next time) I used some long nose pliers, a torch and a small mirror which helped.

Get the bumper off yer big jessie. :p Then the whole job should take

less than half an hour and your knuckles will be intact.

The hardest part is getting the plastic centre fixings on the undertray

out without losing the centres on to the undertray. Ask me how I know that

cheers for the replies folks, i did'nt think there was an easy method

If you can find my guide on here for the 5litre washer bottle mod, it contains a fairly comprehensive guide on how to remove/refit the front bumper

Can you not remove the dog lights from the front?

On my car I undo one screw and unclip the trim round the fogs then there are two screws per light and they pull forward.

Probably different on the Fabia.

I think all mark 1 Fabias except the vRS have fogs which can be removed

from the front. Certainly all after the facelift anyway. Our SDI did. I swapped

them out in under 10 mins. On my vRS I went the long way around, because

the fixings are on the top of the vRS fogs and there's no easy way to get at em

without taking the bumper off.

The bumper off job isn't as daunting as it seems once you just get on and do it.

As long as you're careful and methodical then you should do it in about half an hour

your first time. I found a guide for intercooler removal gave me all I needed to

get the bumper off without damaging anything. I think it was on fabia vrs.com

Well that's just silly :wonder:
