Setting for Whiteline rear ARB

Featured Replies

Hi.

Im getting a Whiteline ARB fitted this weekend to my standard Fabia VRS and it has 3 settings. Has anyone tried all three settings and can suggest which would be the best setting to have it on? It doesnt bother me to have lift oversteer as I've delt with that for the last 5 years :o).

Cheers in advance.

Chris

Start in the middle.

Don't be a girl and just stick it on the hardest. ;)

Most (all of the reports from VRS users I've read) tend to end up on the stiffest (hole closest to bar), and in fact say it go stiffer still, which is why folk opt for the Jabba bar - WL is stiff enough though. You wont get lift-off oversteer with a WL I wouldn't have thought

Yeah, as said just go the the hardest as the whiteline isnt that stiff. the Jabba is thicker so stiffer again - I have one for sale if interested with brand new Mikalor clamps.

Lift off in a FWD will be a different experience to RWD. For starters, don't lift! ... Or don't lift off the pedal entirely...

A pointy FWD needs to be driven like a maniac or like a granny... It's the in-between times that are dangerous.

Definatly stiff. I started on medium and it felt great but there was still some understeer. Changed to stiff 3 days later and have never looked back!

It's also ridiculously easy to fit!

Cool. Cheers guys. I was tending toward the stiffest setting to be honest as I just want the front end to carry the line better through corners and the back to be a little more settled. It really is quite disturbing at times. There's nothing physically wrong with it - I have checked, it's just when coming from a very stiff car, it just wobbles too much ;)

I have considered the Jabba bar but as I'm not going to track day or massively modify this one, I think it is overkill on both price and performance :)

Thanks again guys

Chris

The Jabba bar is a rip off price for what it is, however, they have the monopoly already already :)

Second hand is the way to go!
