There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info about it really, but there appears to be 2 octavia LE's

A VRS blackline, only in diesel which gets black wheels, sat nav, DAB, maxidot, rear sensors and leather interior (only in red, blue or black...all of which are pretty gash colours to be forced into having black wheels with in my opinion)- 500 to be built- same cost as a normal VRS

An SE connect 1.6 tdi, which is an normal SE, but with a fair few business based extras like Bluetooth etc. 2000 to be built £14k, a bargain which includes metallic paint

Anybody know more? Could you spec these up further?

It seems, certainly for the VRS, that you can't add any other options except for metallic paint.

And the vat free offer doesn't apply

Are they fitting play-doh alloys like the last LE?

From what I can see in the new brochure in terms of appearance it just looks like the standard VRS with the black Neptunes. I haven't done the maths but surely if it isn't on the VAT free, as RSMike suggests, why would you buy it? The VAT discount would be substantially more than the value of the extras!

Hmmmm our dealer told us it wasn't :-s and the online ad inclusions does not include vrs black line only vrs

This came up before as they were advertised on Griffin Tax Free and a thread started back in April check this thread out link with a pic on it too.

A good point, I misread that. White will look pretty fly I think.

Unfortunately, the lack of ability to add curtain airbags rules it out for me.

I'd like to know if it's a custom trim interior like the last one or just the standard leather.

Slag off the old LE chaps ... but you'll never see seats like it in a Blackline .... here is the chance to fire in some really special 500 number cars and Skoda choose the normal leather seat option. I was half interested thinking I could replace the LE .... but seems like a fudge to me (and yes the LE Monza's were a fudge in the old LEs), No idea why it is called a LE when it is just standard options at a cheaper price. Nice looking before I incur the wrath of Blackline fans......

Been told that mine had been built and is at the dock. Should be with me in a couple of weeks.

Agreed, I think Skoda are confusing Limited Edition and Special Edition.

I think they've missed a trick with the Blackline. The least they could have done was some unique badging.

Totally agree with silver. I was camping this weekend in north Wales and on site was a chap with a 2009 vrs le. It was very nice in the flesh - gun metal grey looks awesome. He went from a BMW to a vrs, he said I will be very impressed with my new purchase :-)

Did the dealer tell you how long it would take to arrive?

I ordered mine last week, the dealer said it was sitting in Germany and shouldn't take too long to get here, never actually game me an exact delivery date though.

Unfortunately no. I ordered it Tuesday and he said I will definitely have it this month but he hasn't given me a proper ETA as yet. The wait is killing me . I guess where I come from, you can walk into a dealer, buy a brand new car in the morning and drive away with it later in the evening or the next day & this is the first time I'm buying a new one here so just being impatient. :-)

I ordered an SE connect just oover 2 weeks ago and it is in the country now and being PDI'd early next week. I ha an SE on an 11 plate already but saw the deal and the cost to change was so little I thouhght I would go for it. As the new Octavia is going to be bigger and I don't want anything bigger, and the Rapid has had some questionable reviews plus unlikely to have any deals for a while, thought I would stick with what I know! Hope to take delivery in Steel grey next week.
