I don't like repeated threads so I have deliberately re animated this...

Can I lower the speed at which the lights turn on via vcds?

I feel that motorway s[speeds should always be accompanied by headlights or is my reasoning unsound?

Dipped headlights come on automatically with the switch in 'Auto' when speeds in excess of 140kph (87mph) are achieved for 10 seconds or more...

No doubt optimised for the German Autobahns rather than the UK's motorways!

I feel you bro, I bought new pair of foglihts with drl , drl is connected via relay and it works like charm, even if you put headlight to AUTO mode, your headlight won't be working until evening, because one DRL light is about 1€ but bixenon is around 180€ in Bosnia.

Ohmigod why did you have to post that! Our highest legal speed here is 120kph.

You KNOW I have to find out if this works. And my wife is going to have to drive faster than that, ahead of me, to tell me if it works.

Thank **** I bought her the 75hp version of the VW Up!  We can do this!

Where's the issue, you can always give her a good push from behind ... :D

Oh, you impractical but over romantic continentals!  If I gave her a "good push from behind", she wouldn't be able to see my lights.

But I'll be you €€€ I'd be seeing stars...

I bought a 72 Superb SEL and it has automatic headlights but they stay on unless the sun shines directly at the windscreen. The sensor area is clean. I have found that recently I have had to leave the windscreen heater on and that helps turn them off. The annoying things is I have a virtual cockpit and if you manually have the lights off, it annoyingly takes up half the screen telling you to turn on the lights. I have the setting to low sensitivity so it should not be want to turn on during daylight. Lets see what the dealer says.
