I've only just realised that my car is supposed to have one of these! I've just had a look for a `lever` as stated in the brochure, but cant see anything other than a row of holes. It is a bit dark in the garage at the moment so I'll look again tomorrow in the daylight. In the meantime...can anyone tell me whether or not it works in cooling the contents? I must say that I'm rather sceptical coz all I can see is if it does cool things down its gonna be a `damp` cooling and therefore adversely effect whatever paperwork is stored in there.

It uses the a/c to cool so no damp =) I use it all the time to keep drinks cool. So if you turn the heating on it will heat up your gloxebox too.

it does cool, it is the same cold air which goes in to the cabin, when a/c is activated.

Well...I found the `lever`. Its INSIDE the glovebox....I was looking UNDER the glovebox, no wonder I couldn't find it!!! The owners manual makes no mention of it being INSIDE the glovebox and the picture could be of ANYTHING! Still, found it now so looking forward to seeing how it works.

Mine blows cold, regardless of the temp of the climate control. I had always wondered as my centre console box is also air conditioned so tested it one day!

I assumed that it would blow air at the same temp as you set it to for the car! I've got the centre box with a/c too, I'll confirm later.

Some have a lever in the glovebox, and some, like mine, have a round vent on the r/h side that you twist to enable or disable the cooled glovebox.. It's easy to miss, but should be there on all Superbs.

Forgot to test but tried today and with the heater full on I still get cold air into the glove box =)

I pulled the lever to turn on the air con in the glovebox and it came away in my hand! It did clip back into place quite easily though.

I did the same thing and the same thing happened. Coz it was already opened!!!
