  • I have Diadems fitted all round. Have used them on other cars and like the look. I've never noticed a difference in brightness between them and OEM.

  • As already mentioned be warned that these bulbs aren't as bright as standard. As much as I prefer the non-fried egg look I much prefer brighter indicators.

  • I hear what your saying silver mate, but they must be visable enough as they are fully e marked etc.

The wing mirror indicators are LED so you'll struggle to fit some W5W's :giggle:

Even on the pre-FL? They don't have the look of an LED about them, but good job I haven't tried to change them then :D

They're also not on the wing... :p

The puddle lights (if fitted) are W5W but the indicators (or repeaters since we're being picky!) are LED on all MkII Octavia's.

Wing mirrors used to be on the wings, that's why they are still frequently referred to as wing mirrors. If their location determines what we call them then you should also use 'A Pillar' mirrors too!

Found a place that do them for £8.99 a pair, but no stock as yet.

Plan to get some for the wife for Christmas as silly gift so hopefully they will get stock before then

Is it me or do the silvered eBay bulbs just look like normal bulb witha thin coating of mirroring spray applied to hide the orange?

If so they're going to have a serious luminance deficit to a plain orange bulb of the same wattage etc.

One of the reasons I wouldn't buy them from eBay. Too much variance in quality IMO.

I agree with Steve, rather pay more as they last and you know they are legal.

Hope the blue ones get in stock soon as they will work with her blue jazz especially because the front lights are painted blue on the inside

Are they fitted yet? Why are they still in the packaging? ;)

(If I were being picky: they're on the door, not the A-pillar. But I'm not doing to be picky :p )

The term "dashboard" is the amalgamation of dash and board. Was a board mounted on horse-drawn carts to stop the mud from being thrown up at the driver when the horses were on the move rapidly. I have no idea how the instrument cluster is referred to as the dashboard in modern times.

............hmm, so what should "puddle lights" be called if it's not raining and there are no puddles?

DSL's : Dog S*** Lights ;) ;)

See my thread about it: You've been (de) Tango'd

Aceparts order (made Thursday late night) turned up today.

Not fitted yet, but look vary 'orangey' in the packet. The bluey silveryness is a lot fainter than I expected.......

Are they proper Osram ones?

I found mine hardly had any orange look to them in the packet.

That was my worry. They are in pretty convincing packaging, and if not for the orangeness if have no reason to doubt them. I'll try and post a picture......

Bit bright, but you get the idea....
