As above people it works by pressing the button on the key, but when you push the button under the boot it won't open. Do I need a new button, or solenoid lol

so it works when you press and hold the boot button then you can open the boot? i think for the boot to unlock youve gotta press the unlock button twice?

If I peas the boot button on the key fob, it will open.

If I push the button on the tailgate it won't open

Mine doesn't have a button as such, it's integral with the handle. Are you sure it's unlocked?

Sounds to me like you need a new handle. The motor still works for unlocking the boot if it works off the fob - just a switch somewhere that is dodgy!

I had this.

The release on the boot is actually just a switch. One of the wires had come off, and just needed to be soldered back on

I have the same trouble! Use the key fob boot opens fine, try to use the actual switch on boot won't work

Grease the mechanism. It's probably gone dry.
