Evening all,

I've searched through a good few posts but haven't found any pics of an MDI fitted into the glovebox, I've seen a plate that looks like it designed to fit over the end of the MDI interface for fitment into the glovebox, but I don't think that's an Octavia suitable part.

Am I supposed to get one and stick it or velcro it to the inside of, or behind, the glovebox?

I'm going for the glovebox option as a plug in and forget as I will almost never use my iPhone with the MDI, it's only to connect an 80gb full to the brim iPod.

I ran mine behind the airbag off switch as you can make a small hole without it being noticed when returned back to standard

I have the factory fitted MDI.

The picture above is exactly how it looks in the glovebox (seems skoda punch a hole in the side of the glovebox) the MDI module has an extension cable running from the MDI module to the glovebox (MDI is mounted behind the glovebox on two bolts) you then plugin your interface cable IE. IPOD, USB etc.

Ah ok, so the MDI has a kind of fly lead with the same socket as the MDI on. Is there a parts list anywhere?
