Classic Car Rescue, Channel 5

Featured Replies

Tonight 24th Sept, 8pm

Maybe worth a watch. Jaguar E Type

Watched it, nice car, wasn't over-impressed with the arguing and 'accident'. Will watch rest of series though.

Question is:

Would you buy a car 'renovated' by these people?

"Nahh my mate. Don't fink so".

Roagh as Boars ****.

& that is from a spray painter.

I was appalled.

"Get it on the ramp and get it stripped."

2 days later it all there still, bonnet not even removed, engine not removed.

Then in the paint shop. and the Under Bonnet, engine bay and everything is all finished.

As the put the trim in, you could see how bad the paint was.

That was re-painted totally after the Paint Booth scene IMO.

They saw how badly done his paint job was,

staged the accident that Bernie kept pointing at above the supposed damage and then it went to professionals to be sprayed.

I had never seen it before & probably will not watch again. I never knew it would be that plonker.

I nearly put a coffee mug through my TV screen.

Sounds like another "Wheeler Dealers".....?

Was going to watch but appears I didn't miss anything

If I had known it was that cockerny geeza I wouldn't have bothered.

sky + is a wonderful thing.

Sounds like another "Wheeler Dealers".....?

Yep, I was waiting for Mr China to walk in and fix the car up.

PS. Would you use 2n'd hand brake discs taken from a pile of bits, I certainly wouldn't.

Sounds like another "Wheeler Dealers".....?

Wheeler Dealer's isn't that bad. That channel 5 thing last night was dire, and why not weld up the roof to get rid of that Supermarket car park special sunroof.

Looking at the paint in the booth, it was pretty shocking.

I quite like Wheeler dealers :-)

Edd from Wheeler Dealers does know what he's doing and despite the show appearance Mike Brewer is tidy. These two morons annoyed me. Botched the painting, whole body covered in filler. Did it really need that much? The last thing this Bernie did was Chop Shop. That in itself says it all. Channel 5 swapped Fifth Gear for this crap. Shocking

What a load of scrap :(

It will be soon enough. No doubt rotten underneath soon.

Kin bodgers, I certainly wouldn't give them £30k for it.

More like £12,000 they paid for it and then spend proper money doing it correctly.

Glad there wasnt only me that was thinking same as some comments above,

Buying second hand suspension stuff, 30k for that was he taking the ****

^ Tend to agree with you guys. What the hell possessed them to go with that sunroof! The valuation was suspect and just a little too convenient :o

Seen that sort of thing before and it annoyed me which is why I didn't bother. Feel sorry for all those who don't have pay tv and can't therefore watch fifth gear anymore.

I had a quick flick through this last night.

What a crock of sheite!

How much filler did they use to cover up their **** poor workmanship with the hammers!

Here's how to properly restore an E-Type. All the vids are on Youtube but here's where they fixed the damage on the rear end. No filler required

I thought that trailers were supposed to persuade you to watch a programme? When I saw the Mockney g!t in the trailers, I actively avoided this show.

Martyn, thats that Mark fella isn't it?

He did a bloody great job on that car.

Now that one would be worth £30k if not more.

He has done some great projects.

That channel 5 programme was awful.

The Wheeler Dealer offering was much better on the mk2 Jag. But they reckon they had fixed the oil burning problem. Looking at it after the fix near the end it was still smoking.

Mick

Just seen it tonight, with a porsche 911. Didn't realise the monkey from chop shop did it. Other wise I would have avoided it

Watched it tonight aswell, slightly less bodging tonight with new suspension bits rather than second hand crap,

but his voice still really annoys me

Agreed, He has the most annoying voice ever!
