Liverpool to Paris - one Skoda Yeti, one tank of fuel

Featured Replies

My only problem is I don't know what size fuel tank I have on my Yeti. I think its 60 Litres... but I have never (even after running it low) put more that 54 litres of fuel in the tank. ?????

That sounds about right.

Even once the light and low fuel warning comes on you then have a few litres reserve left.

Phil

I drive 850 km on 55 litres with my Yeti 1,2. Some highway driving, but never above 110 km/h, and some small roads. Not impressed, my 2001 Merc c-180 was less thirsty.

Works out about 44mpg.

Isn't that about what most people are averaging?

I don't know. Several other petrol cars are less thirsty, and when it comes to diesel cars, my mpg is almost double. I'm not complaining because a friend with the same engine in an A3 told me about his mpg long before I bought my Yeti, so I knew what to expect. But with this mpg, it's a joke to include anything green, environmental or cheap in the same sentence as the 1,2 Yeti. My next Yeti will definitely have the biggest petrol engine.

best i've had out of my greenline was 700 miles from a tank, but on average I achieve 600+ Currently I'm running at a average of 52.3mpg for the 16,000 miles covered todate. (which includes a twice weekly commute to Birmingham where speeds on the M6 don't exceed 30mpg) and some towing of trailers.

If you click on the Fuelly link below you can see what I average per tank. Have to say I'm very happy with the mpg

Last tank full I filled up at about 370 miles. That is bad for a diesel, but I didn't venture outside London.

I normally get 400-500 miles on a tankful.

The CR140 DSG is similar in fuel consumption to the 1.2TSI.

Filled mine last night, just before it went into the red, 498 miles.

That's what I can get on a good tankful, but will have been in the red for a while.
