Cheers for that! I shall order them in abit, just drawn to them for there high bite and low dust qualities :)

I've got EBC Ultimax pads on my heavy diesel Octavia - can't say that I've noticed any difference between them and the OE pads that were on before.

Brake dust does come off the alloy wheel a bit easier though...

Curiously they are the only brake pads I've fitted that have ever squealed.

My red stuff pads have never made a peep and the breaking is spot on I use them along with EBC grooved and dimpled disks. As stated above :-).

But like I said mine are fitted to my focus ST 225

I've not used the Ultimax pads, but have Greenstuff (plus EBC discs) all round. Some people are no keen on them but I don't have any problems stopping. We've fitted Greenstuff to most of our cars, from my 1.0 metro, mothers AX Diesel. My dad uses Red ceramic for his Scoobie. My father and I have the Ultimax slotted discs on the front. We use them as the suit our driving style, produce less dust and are kinder to discs.

If you don't go for EBC, I'd buy Mintex or Ferodo. I've had OEM Skoda pads de-laminate on my mothers Fabia.

ive got yellow stuff on my fabia and there awesome pads! they stop well from any temps but are amazing when there warm or high speed!

and i only ever got a few squeals when they were new. i did have to remove some of the red coating thats meant to bed them in abit faster because that was making some terrible noises! but other than that cracking pads!! and well priced aswel!!
