pebble dashed Ka

Featured Replies

Hi,

My friend came into school this morning and dragged me down to where her car is parked. She was reversing onto her drive this morning and she was looking to see where she was going but also watching the cat she looked to see where the cat was walking to and went into a bit of wall by her garage. One of the lights above her numberplate is ok but teh plastic around it has smashed (the black plastic keeping it there) and also the bit of bumper below and above her numberplate has a few tiny dents and scratches in it. They aren't very deep at all.

Was just wondering, what can she do to get it looking decent again and how much is it going to cost her?

BTW its a silver 54reg Ka.

Thanks,

Lorna

Should've taken a pic of the damage...soooooo much easier to see what is required then.

Get to it....... :D

Sorry-i can't. I am at school and she has gone home! Know when a kid falls over in some gravel, they get little dents/dimples in their skin? Its a bit like that. Looks like it would be fine with some touch-up paint but just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

You can kind of polish out those marks in bumpers and then wax over it with coloured wax so it doesn't show up pale against the surrounding plastic. The light surround will have to be replaced - 15 quid maybe? Depends on how big it is.

Schoolkids with year-old cars - what next! :D

It's her parents car, shes just borrowing it!! lol. Just a normla light thing in teh bit above the numberplate!! about 3cm long? ok-will tell her waht you said nick.

I forgot to ask is it colour-coded bumper or grey?

Light surround should be cheaper than that then if it's that small - hopefully (fingers crossed).

her mum laughed! and then i spoke to her and said it wasnt taht bad but her mum feels sorry for my mate for when her dad finds out!! Her dad is likely to flip!! He flips at just a tiny scratch!!

The moral of the story is either don't watch cats while reversing a car, or stop until the cat has got out of the way..... but I'm sure she's learnt that already :D

ChipsAway or someone could probably fix it for a relatively small amount...

Rob.
