Aftermarket Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I take delivery of my new 1.2 DSG Yeti on 8 November, here in Cyprus. I would like to fit a Bluetooth hands-free system for my mobile phone and like the look of the Parrot CK3100.

Has anyone experience of this system and has anyone fitted it in a Yeti?

I fitted a Parrot 9200 to my Cmax. Very straightforward.

You will need an adapter lead

Pull the stereo out. Connect the adapter lead between the head unit and the existing connector. Plug the Parrot into the adapter. I suggest you mount the blue control unit under the steering wheel. Thread the mike up in the side of the windscreen trim. The control unit is wireless so stick that where you like ( o err missus!).

Robert's you father's brother!!

Why don't you fit a standard one from eBay, bought mine for £130. Fitting it as we speak...

After you mentioned the 9200 I looked it up on the internet and noticed that it will accept music on an SD card. As this is a feature I would like I may well purchase one of these.

I am unsure what you mean by a "standard one". Bear in mind I will not have steering wheel controls for the phone.

I have a Bury Handsfree System Fitted. Voice activated. dead easy to use, well pleased

+1 for a Bury 9600, having just updated the system it will now read texts for me - Hands free, as well as playing music from the phone + speak instructions from google maps/Navigation ( now i just need to work out how to reply to texts using speech) :D

By "standard" I guess he means "original". You don´t need MFSW. If you have MaxiDot or a Bolero/Columbus/Amundsen stereo, the original works. And it looks way better than any aftermarket installation. Find "Carsystems.pl" on eBay. It´s very easy to install.

Fison is another system that works like the OEM one, and hidden I believe.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The car will have Maxidot but the radio is the "Swing" so I guess that means this "original" system is not applicable?

I changed my radio to an Amundsen sat nav unit, ( £250 on eBay ) I'm hoping this will be ok with my standard Bluetooth that I'm finishing the fitting tonight, if not I'm going to fit a vrs steering wheel with phone hand controls on...... Got to be the best way for getting your phone to work through the sat nav , mfd and steering wheel.....

The Swing radio works great with OEM bluetooth. Have the same setup in my Superb. The bluetooth is controlled with the right wiper stalk and the MaxiDot display. Was around £160-ish from Carsystems.pl on eBay, and took less than one hour to install.
