Unknown 'ON' switch...

Featured Replies

Out of curiosity i just plugged an OBD reader into my vRS. Everything came up fine, but while i was under there I found an 'on' switch in that cubby hole.

Anyone able to tell me what it does? and which way is On, in or out? :)

cheers guys :)

It's for the optional 'whacky racers' pack.

Releases an oil slick.

N.B. This may have an impact on your engines oil levels.

(Go read your manual or use search ;) )

Can cooler - linked to the air con. ;) On is pulled out. Not sure as mine's (deliberately) not worked for a long long time.

Usually rigged upto the resister mod fitted standard by Skoda UK. Pulling it out, therefore ON, gives increased BHP and better MPG.

Activates the sensors for the auto machine guns ;)

Spoil sport!

If not working though, the pipe has probably popped off at some point when somebody has had the trim off!

Or he has taken it all off to save weight i expect.

I guess someone hasn't looked at these topics.

Extremely useful Fabia 1 topic sticky/

Or read the manual.

What's it to be - the Tabby or the cute Tortoise Shell? :|

Not a whiskers cat i like them

BINGO

Amazed what the aircon pump & condensor weighed once removed. :D (was broken/empty of gas beforehand anyway)

And anyway [moderator mode] - silly threads/answers should be in off-topic, not the model specific/technical forums! :p

'Too close for missiles, switching to guns'

NOT AGAIN

" ON " means READ THE MANUAL

You mean there's actually a switch in there??? :o

More like a little lever you pull out / push in, in the roof of the pocket. To see it when pushed in, your head needs to be down in the footwell and looking up into the recess of the handle grab hole area type thing gadget widget. :)

I'm hoping to get the " On" lever fitted into my undies.

I've read somewhere that it can be used as a push/pull start for the car also?? Anyone else got this feature :D

I read somewhere that the fabia has a well hidden gas turbine engine, and the on position of this lever starts said engine and switches off its standard internal combustion engine. If you bury the throttle with the gas turbine engine running, you can actually leave the road and fly over the huge traffic jam on the A34 :)

I did this once before, was scary stuff :/ :D

That's a good one!
