The whole dash has gone!

Featured Replies

The rev counter, speedo, fuel and temp gauge have all stoped working on my octavia 1.9 TDI 2000, Whats gone wrong?

It sounds like a faulty pcb board in the cluster behind the dials .. There is a thread on here somewhere of how to fix it but I'm on my phone and can't copy the links

Quiet a common problem that can be fixed temporarily by removing a fuse from the fusebox, I'll see if I can locate the number. The only caveat is that with this fuse removed the clocks go blank when the key is removed and all the trip data is lost everytime you remove the key. The only other way is to either

A) Send the whole cluster away to be repaired to BBA-Reman or Clusterrepairs UK,

B. Get the dealer to replace, but you'll have to pay for a new one,

C) Have a go a DIY repair

D) Keep running without the fuse, but with the side effects.

edit: Fuse number is 15 in the main box.

Have a read of this thread.
