And we have a winner!

What did the tyre shop say when you returned them?

They are no good as track tyres... They get hot and bits fall off :o

Basically i need a road tyre that can take a few track days. However i cant have a tyre that is either A ) horrendously soft compound and has fast ware B ) not shallow and can deal with the British wet weather. I know this is basically looking for tyre "utopia" and you wont be able to get all of those qualities, but i would like as close to a happy medium between then all as i can get. I have a budget of £100 a tyre including fitting, balancing etc.....

Any help much appreciated again :)

I wast expecting such a massive response when creating this thread but i have been pleasantly surprised. Thanks for all your help guys. Looks like ill be giving the Parada's a miss now :)

Bump for some help ;)

I have Michelin pilot exalto and I think they're good tyres in dry and wet. Only paid £100 for 2.

Parada Spec2's stick like **** to a blanket in the dry, but lethal in the wet. Lift-off oversteer in the damp/wet...

They were pretty noisy, managed 12k out of a set, and had one "bulge" and cause a vibration...
