I am taking the Furby to Brands

what what what.....?

why not the octy?

  • Author

Because tyres are shot. And haven't been round a track in the Furby yet.

pete, change tyres, put the spiders you have on,

track plus wavetrac = awesome

track + diesel + no atb/diff plus chance of wet/damp = less awesome

So I dropped the Octy off at Tony Gilhams new garage today.

It's in to get the R32 front end stuff fitted. He had some impressive machinery lurking about. Including his Gumpert and Sir Michael Gambons Audi R8!

I'd have thought that was simple.

8 minutes?

lol, only 8.... :giggle::happy:

they are both good in their own right, having owned an octy first, i wanted to hate the fabia, but i loved it, it took me all through the mountains from france to andorra and spain, and it felt as nimble (if not more so in honesty) than the octy. But as a track car, i would still use the octy...especially yours pete!

cant believe how big their new workshop is, they have been doing bits on a mates evo8 i just found out, they fitted a role cage for him not long ago..

R32 front x member and rack fitted together with R32 cast wishbones with castor increased superpro bushes and freshly powder coated TT hubs. Tomorrow will see S3 lower and upper braces fitted and full alignment done. Work carried out at Tony Gilhams awesome new garage. Many thanks to the boys for all their hard work.

amazing how them parts have gone all around the country and yet they came from your neck of the woods lol

Be interesting to hear why the new set up is better than the stock Octy one Pete.

Fitting of the R32 parts together with TT hubs allows the wishbones to sit level when lowering the Octy. The wishbones are Cast items instead of pressed steel and so are more rigid and coupled with the upper and lower braces should produce better turn in. The R32 rack has less turns lock to lock and track rods are larger in diameter.

More awesome work. B)

Yummy mate

also the castor adjusters that can be fitted to the cast arms, allow for better turn in an stability when pushed

Oooh very shiny :)
