Do you park your Citigo well away from the others?

Re original post, you could've parked in the trolley cover :D

I try and park away when I'm in my classics, but I also have a saxo for town driving and I don't really mind as much if it gets dinged

Yes, but what about when people try to mate their trollies to the back of the car to get their trolly money back?

Yeah I've just noticed that in the picture.

I'm up (sorry about the ref to VW) for a laugh I'll try next time I go down there which will be before the weekend.

Has to be with a picture. Might make a good avatar.

I was going to order these but carriage and delivery is £36 - more than 50% of the parts. So I go back to original plan and find a car with similar size doors and order those from Manufacturer -which is how I've done it before.

Please let us know what you find Crista.

we're looking for some to suit a 5 door Citigo.

I now have to reverse into my space on our driveway , because else i'll be opening my drivers door onto the wall ...

Hi, I'm new here. Will be getting our Citigo on Monday :)

I always park next to the most expensive cars I can find. The owner of a brand new Lexus or Aston Martin is unlikely to carelessly smack his door against yours. Of course this only works if you feel relatively certain that they won't move their car before you return to yours.

But I go to Asda, not Waitrose

Ahem...not always a good idea. Check the video top of the page.....http://www.topgear.com/uk/videos/aca904dd-d872-49f8-8c0a-1e7ae70e604c

Luckily I live in a very wealthy district, but in less wealthy neighborhoods the occasional A6 or even a well-kept MX-5 should suffice

Argh, that man should be turned in for car abuse  Though I like to think this is the exception that confirms the rule.

I blame his parents. He was obviously not taken to task for breaking all his toys on Christmas Day.

We never park the Citigo far from other cars, it's always right next to other cars in public.

Because it's the car of choice when going to any place that's a bit busy.

The small width and small doors (it's a 5 door :) ) mean it's the perfect car to squeeze into tight spots.

On the 3 door -vs- 5 door debate... We have one of each and I prefer the looks and smaller door size of the 5.

The 3 door is a bit more funky and less sensible looking, it reminds me of a toy car. Sort of a pod on wheels.

We plumped for a 5-door Citigo because we preferred the looks and the practicality (even if you're just putting something on the back seat, not necessarily passengers) Also, it stands to reason that as the 2 front doors on a 3-door model are longer, they will be heavier and thus cause more wear on arm muscles! :giggle:

Likewise. Never park next to an old banger (like my old green Punto which had several battle scars!) if you value your bodywork!

Doors are pretty tough, the bonnet and roof a bit thin though.

And don't forget the boot lid,Mick! It's incredibly heavy and solid!

Mmm....sounds just like a Golf :giggle:

But half the price...

Got to go to parking hell tomorrow.

Taking the Citigo, it's in it's element and will be squeezed in somewhere the Yeti won't fit.
