Has my VRs been remapped?

Just a tip Alex, try and keep your revs above 2000 before you

plant your foot.

1500 is off boost and you are doing the dmf no good at all

flooring it at low revs, particularly in higher gears.

I know, the kick in the back sensation is addictive but

even in standard tune this technique will quickly knacker the dual mass flywheel.

If it is mapped then this is doubly important to avoid as the enhanced

torque will wreck a flywheel in half the time.

Not teaching you how to suck eggs or anything just trying to

keep you from a £600+ repair bill. Which is what it cost to replace my

clutch and flywheel when mine went kaput and I got it done cheaper than average.

As an aside, If it's remapped properly and responsibly it should make

the cars power delivery smoother rather than more savage.

Oh dont get me wrong, I only did that just to test what was hinted at by others to be able to describe the power delivery, I am always sure to feed the power in, and keep the revs in the upper band of the range ;)

Regards

Alex

Yup sounds 100% stock tbh.

Quality of fuel can effect how strongly it pulls at the dizzying heights past 4k.. As well as how noticeable the torque hump is.. strangely.. the hump, to me, is more obvious on cheap fuel.. I'm guessing it's because when I'm on good fuel it's smoother.

Also, if you're going even slightly down hill, it seems to pull up to, and maybe a tad past, 4.5k before the power drops off... Makes a bigger difference than you'd think a slight decent would..
