how easy would the meth kit transfer? dont need it yet but you never know :D only joking, BUT if I win the lotto and the skip was no longer a daily :D

Runs meth in fuel not a spray kit :-)

Meth in fuel : ) Respect to that guy.

Imprezas are probably one of the best buy cars out there. bang for buck and tuning potential is phonomical : )

Living with them is an easy thing - keep on top of servicing, dont drive it like you stole it and the Scooby will look after itself.

As most people say the downside to Impreza ownership is the MPG. However get the right mods on the car, get the car tuned by a reputable tuner and ECU mapper then you'll have a car that'll see high twenties early thirties on a run ; )

Spare parts are easy to come by and are cheap to get - unlike other similar cars you could buy.

Drop me a PM if you need any help with Imprezas - I work for a specialist with 15 years experience with them ; )

I still have one and absolutly love it. Average 10L/100km, which I dont think is that bad. MY05. Nothing at all not to like.

I wouldn't have anything after MY05 as they went to the 2.5L motor here in Australia and got a whole lot more thirsty and no more power. They gained power around MY10 but also porked on the weight.

Our crazy vehicle regulators here have some carbon calculator and by Subaru adding 0.5L they were able to meet emmision standards even though they use more fuel.

I never owned one but I believe the Pre 2000, after 1998 were the best models. Lighter and faster.

They are not for everyone though. They are rough but I like it ridgid. They are loud but that encouroges how I drive it.

Happy Days.

the 4x4 is a great base car, but as said needs a LOT spent to get it sorted as its not built as a performance vehicle.

You have to really want one to chose one over a scoobie or a evo.

Financially you would be crazy to do tbh as a good scoobie or evo can be had for well well under 5k which was designed to be a sports and handling vehicle and not a tow vehicle.

This is just an example, its not perfect but the 6 is a benchmark car imo http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c2c3f41e8

There are a couple of awesome massive spec 4x4s and vrs cars out there, however am not sure the 30k or so that it took to build them would be worth it...

As for stigma, am sure the same applies to the skoda just in a different way, plenty of idiots still don't like them.

i had a JDM TD05 Apexi run STI and it was a fking animal!! Simple as really!

Bet you miss that

Bet you miss that

yup! i built it as it was a T2000 uk spec. had bad piston slap so i bought this JDM...

I'm drooling here looking At that Gee

Awesome car - do like the the pre-bug eye scoobies

Such a shame what subaru have done to themselves as a manufacturer in recent years

My Subaru yearnings have now been transfered to Murtaya's

Just sold my wrx to buy an octy, they are fantastic cars but are getting a bit old hat,yes they are quick mine was 274bhp,but tbh it didn't feel 274bhp quick compared to the octy.

Fuel consumption sucks, insurance sucks and getting constantly tailgated by every plonker ruins the experience.

They are fantastically reliable and servicing if you do it yourself is easy.

i had a 53 plate wrx, love it lots! owned it for 3 months then the crank went. it hasnt put me off though, was going to sell the octy to get another but looks like im facing redundancy so not wise at the mo :(

I kicked a WRX's backside at the Pod on Sunday. ;) Admittedly it wasn't one of these PPP STI WRC ones, but I still whupped it. ;)

Got loads of goodies for a classic scooby now
