It looks good like that. I'm so tempted to do mine but was gonna use a plate like the put on the front of the 182s. They are standard width but a little less height. Then cable tie it on so can chop it off for shows :)

Haha a VRS plate would be cool or just get a private plate as atleast it's with you for life then.

I was looking at vrs plates just now :D

It looks good!

I run a 3/4 plate on the front of my ibiza, and I don't think you can tell its that much smaller than a standard plate really..

Cheers phil.

I have looked at private plates for me but they are stupid money. I have no middle name so something with joe or like 89 JP is worth more than the car lol. Can get a vrs plate for 250 and can always sell for about the same but its having that spare £250 when theres so much more to buy.

Or you could just get a custom show plate made up. £10 or so from eBay :)

it will be removed at shows. i meant for everyday driving as thats when it will be seen the most. i like my 3/4 plate and have yet to be pulled for it but its still not legal so a nice plate like H4 VRS for example can have the sides cut off allowing a shorter plate but legal letters.

Makes sense, the plate I got was tiny!

But I do have the original one in the boot if needed

I need one of those 3/4 plates made up for mine!

I approve :D

I bought it from here mike http://www.fancyplates.com/

That does not seem legit haha!

Does it have the makers mark on it?

  • Author

No markers etc as its not a legal plate.

Looks very nice. How loud is the exhaust? Friend just had his bora done at a custom exhaust place with zero silencers and I think it just sounds broken.

Some good choice mods there thou mate.

Yer its not the best on tick over but in the car plodding around and motorway cruising i cant hear it atall in the car. When i give it the beans i actually really like the sound, makes me chuckle every time. I think people on the pavement when i plod past think its awfull and the guys in work hate when i roll into the car park in the morning they think it sounds like a truck :D but im happy with it for now.

You managed to get your new wheels yet mate?? looking forward to see what they look like!

Yer they are on mate need to drop the rear a tad first before any pictures. Need the lip repainting on the one though as the fresh paint got ripped off during tyre fitting, the other three are fine though. Got black bolts coming for it aswell as mine are scabby and need to paint my hub centres black because they are now on show and scabby looking through the wheels.

Awesome man, pm me a picture if you get chance ;) I swear in the job description u have to be incapable of being careful to get the job haha Ano what you mean mate, they have to be spotless when there on display, Ime doing my calipers gold, and my new disks and pads are going on today

It was my mate you fitted the one on a crap machine and it pulled the tyre so tight it ripped the paint off, we ended up going over the road to ats and they done them with there new machine fine and cost nowt. Gold will look cool your split rim bolts mate, im cleaning up my 312mm fronts to go on soon going red with my pipes and all. Just had to buy new rear discs and pads too as the discs looked on the worn side when i had a good look with my wheels off.

Camber shims ordered to try get a better fitment. Going to have fun fitting them friday hopefully.

  • Author

Just fitted 1.5 camber shims and new rear discs and pads. To be honest I think the shims are a waste of time I wish I just put some washers in.

Can the shims be used for camber and toe joe?

  • Author

Yer mate the are like double layerd and spin to alter toe and camber, you get a chart with them to match up the angles you want.
