R32 Steering Wheel; Mk4/5?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

might be a stupid question but I was wondering if it's only the mk4 r32 steering wheel that fits a Fabia VRs?

I've found a mk5 r32 steering wheel, quite sure it won't fit but just wanted to check to be sure!

Thanks!

If you look in the cars for sale section there is a guy in there with a r32 steering wheel, its a se, cant remember his name!

Thats a MK4 Wheel on his SE though.

My mate has a new shape S3 wheel on his old shape S3 so its possible.

U can fit a mk5 steering wheel but u will need the airbag off a mk5 3 spoke.. or polo 9n/ 9n3 3spoke... this is what makes it so expensive...

Whereas the mk4 steering wheel will fit with the fabia airbag ;)

Don't think I want to bother getting an airbag off a mk5 to get it fitted..:-)

I've found an old shape S3 wheel. This should fit the fabia with the airbag right? (airbag is included in the deal though so doesn't really matter I guess)

Thanks!

I've go the Mk4 R32 steering wheel fitted to mine and I well recommended it, much chunkier than standard I've had it now for a couple of years

BUT if had to do it again I be tempted to try this

I have one of the old shape s3 steering wheels.. (the same as mk1 TT steering wheel)...

The fabia airbag WILL NOT fit the audi wheels :(... so u will need to use the audi airbag ;)... which makes tge wheel look less chunky in the middle + obviously has the 4 audi rings ;)

I have the mk4 R32 steering wheel waiting to be fitted!

Can't wait

I`m seriously tempted by this, they will do it to a stock vrs wheel too, which i have in my garage (currently have a momo team). Tempted to send it off to them to be done.

Do you have a pic of the old shape s3 steering wheel fitted on your fabia? Audi airbag is included so shouldn't be a problem. I can live with the audi rings I guess..looks better than a skoda logo :p

The wheels in the attic.. i fitted it to my old mk4 golf but didnt have an audi airbag so took it off :( the 225 TT airbags look better... there the same shape but the ring around the centre is brushed aluminium whereas the s3 is black plastic...

The little noble grip bits are better than the vrs wheel but if u already have a vrs wheel i think they look better bud (unless its badly worn....)

the thing i don't like about the R32 wheel is the R down at the bottom, i take it all are like this and i'm not getting it confused with the new Golf R?

You think the vRS wheel looks better than the S3 one?

I like the shape that's similar to the R32 one..looks smaller than on the r32 but I can get this wheel in good condition for about £ 50

I was guna do a link to this aswell :) :)

They do a r32 one aswell + u can choose stitching colour.. etc

The best thing about it is u dont have to exchange ur old wheel ;)... hard to justify £150 for a steering wheel tho..

Got a fbsw in my T5, wouldnt be surpised if these fitted the Furby too

Not too much money really, certainly in comparison to the other link and you have to exchange your old wheel?

although I don't really have £150 spare with Christmas round the corner! :(

Think mine was about £250 inc airbag.... and unlike a few other mods, I appreciate it every time I drive my van...

Mega jelous u have a T5 :(... need one facelifted + campered when funds permit :) :)

And come sale time you could flog it on, and put a nice, fresh (the original) wheel back in the van. Saves leaving a worn/tatty one in and reducing the cars aesthetic value. :)

Don't under-estimate the value of a good steering wheel either, really makes a difference to the car!

I agree, steering wheel is important.

When I was still searching for one, I wouldn't even look at an S3 unless it had

the optional flat bottomed MFSW. Number 1 on my must have list tbh.

I can't tell you how many good cars I've mugged off because the

original purchaser didn't spec the MFSW. How could you not have one??

It's the bit you sit there staring at the most, so it helps if it's pretty.

And, If I'm completely honest, I just wanted more light up buttons B)

Shameless interior whoring pic.
