KESSY - Stopped recognising key, SKODA assist fixed it

Featured Replies

My 2011 Elegance estate stopped recognising my key and wouldn't let me start the car even though I'd used the key to get into the car! Rang SKODA assist and when the engineer appeared he said there was a technical bulletin out about this issue and he upgraded the ECU (?) firmware, since then no further problems. Anyone else had this fault?

No, but car going in for first service soon, so would appreciate any data you have on bulletin so I can check I have appropriate ECU level fix.

I have KESSY plus a remap. Does anyone confirm that the fix for this is would wipe the remap?

Thanks in advance
