Hi i have for sale my 06 Fabia VRs. I have owned it for the last two years, initially bought as a commuter car, but now i only work a 2 minute walk away from home. So there is no need for us to have two cars.

. 88,000 miles

. 6 months tax and MOT

. Service history

. Cambet changed at 70k, October 2010. Water pump changed at the same time

. Brake pads and disks changed about 15k ago, both front and back

. New front tyres earlier this year as well as the tracking done. Plenty of tread on the rears

. Cruise control

. Both exterior and interior in very good condition

I'd keep it on a sorn on the path rather than give it away at that ridisculously low price, and it looks so ace too.

Sadly a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, not a penny more. These days it is very much a buyers market. I've just been pipped to a VRs (04) on 70k that a dealer sold for just £3400!!! It had full service history and recent cambelt etc ...

I have about £3-4K to spend and I don't think I'm been unrealistic in expecting something under 100k with FSH, happy to wait out for the right car anyways.

Whilst that is true, what you are comparing is a car 2 years older. Of course it is going to be cheaper, surely that comes as no surprise.

So what Alex is asking is only comparative to that. Sorry if that was already immediately blindingly obvious.

I think you are quite right about getting something in that range though but my experiences with my Skodas has made me look

that mileage is far less importance to properly looked after cars that also aren't lemons. Also dealer serviced history and pieces of paper does not necessarily mean its a great car, could still be a right lemon. Thats the beauty of buying a car from new and keeping it running you know exactly where its coming from

looks a good car for the money. Don't suppose you fancy a MK1 Octavia VRS in p/x? It would make your short drive to work exciting lol
