Hi,

My 2008 fabia 1 has a strange problem with the central locking. The remote locking works from the fob and also in the door but when the drivers side door is opened it causes the central locking to activate again and lock all of the other doors and boot. Once the door is then closed again the central locking operates again unlocking all the doors again. Any ideas what could cause this?

Sounds like a problem on the convenience control unit, need to be scanned for fault code IMO

 I realise this is quite an old thread but did you ever determine what was the cause and solution to this fault? I've just had exactly the same thing develop on my 2010 Fabia.

Theres was a problem with the loom going into the drivers door on earlier mk2's.

Try to wiggle the cover to one side and see if theres any broken or damaged wires
