1.2 TSI Timing chain problem

Featured Replies

This topic is found over at the Yeti forum, but is just as relevant for Roomster owners as well:

After all the heated arguments on this forum over when timing belts should be changed ,it left me quite envious of Roomsters with timing chains.

Just goes to show you can sometimes have problems with chains , but hopefully these should be sorted under warranty!

My own story: the chain was changed under warranty, but the shop broke the oil pan and the car has been leaking oil since. It's currently at the workshop again, hopefully I get it back tomorrow.

Ive done a couple on Yeti's. Very small numbers in the UK that are effected though.
