04 octavia tdi estate gremlins

Featured Replies

Hello to all,

I am having problems with my 04 skoda octavia 1.9tdi estate, the windows started operating on their own and would not respond to the buttons these would shut if i locked the drivers door whilst inside vehicle andgot out of the passenger door and then locked the car.

The central locking stopped working on drivers door(still opened with key) and the red light by door lock 'stub' stayed on this seemed to be a drain on the battery.

i live in the highlands and i am some considerable distance (75 miles) from a dealer (or privateer with suitable diagnostics or knowledge).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tenthumbs..

Thanks Gallego and Alkip, will do.

sounds like water ingress in electrics somewhere, check all connections to the ecu for loose/wet patches, also for leakes near the fuse box, spraying some water displacer may help

where in scotland are you?
