VRS Not Turning over (When it feels like it!)

Featured Replies

Hi!

Got a little (big) problem with my Fabia not starting on Occasion...

I unlock the car just fine..most of the time..sometimes the key doesn't want to play ball.. then attempt to start it and theres either a delay of maybe 10 - 15 seconds held onto the ignition before the starter kicks in!

Sometimes it starts first time!

Any tips?

Could it be the immobiliser, the key chip (though I've tried the spare with the same results..or the Starter?

Please help before I'm stuck!!!

Have you looked at the cable running to the starter? It's only a small cable and can pull lose from the connector causing intermittent starting and try running a multimeter on that cable and seeing ir the starter is receiving power!
