What VCDS unit?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Hoping that one of you techies can help me here.

I am now on my 4th vRS having recently found the offer on the Blackline too good to pass by. Having read the various topics on here over the years as a lurker and finding the advice invaluable, (saved myself a fortune fixing the cruise control on my 2006 model!) I am finally going to splash out and get myself a VCDS unit for all the little 'adjustments' I'd like to make. Having looked on the Ross-tech site though, I am at a loss as to which one will suit. I want to switch on the bluetooth, corner lighting, dim the DRLs etc. But I also want the ability to fault find if the need arises. Can anyone suggest the best tool for the job. Yes, I know there may some of you who may offer their services but I'd like my own unit. (that I can offer out once I get the hang of it!!!)

Many thanks in advance.

Oh, the car.......unfortunately Skoda have used my description for another of their models.....it's Superb.... .

You need the VCDS (VAG-COM) HEX-USB+CAN Interface Package (it can make all the tweaks)

Here it is at Gendan automotive £263

You may see cheaper versions elsewhere but this is the legit one and it's well worth spending the extra for the support and genuine and timely updates.

There was a legit one via Ross Tech's site for £215 when I last looked

Sorry £219, here
