You mean a shortend recess for the number plate U.S style?

I have never seen one.

seen a pic of one flushed before, looked utter toss with its Ott body kit to match . . (wasn't a UK car). . . .

shortened recess on the other hand. . i think that'd look awesome.

I'm currently doin mine to fit a 13" x 6.5" square pressed number plate . Takes it in to the edge of the number plate lights which just happen by pure luck 14" from one to the other so no need to move lights and plate will sit tight ...

My dilemma is do I square it off like the us/ mk3 golf types or use the original shape of either side of the recess and bring it in shorter??

I'm thinking to just square it off to keep it proper

There is a Fabia with a shortened recess on air bags in the uk but I can't find a pic, flushed tailgates were cool 10 years ago.

Flushed tail gates are vile but I would love a shortened recess as I always thought they were a bit big!

And then a smooth rear bumper as that line through it is so pointless, good job my bumper needs respraying :D

Like this LOL.

Thats just so wrong

See I would never flush my tailgate as said its 1990's..

But gotta say I quite like the look of that if it wasn't for the paint/ stance and new number plate recess it'd be gash..

But 10/10 for effort just not somthing I would do

If done right, it could look ok, it's very dependant on the the overall look though. For it to work, it will need dropping, rims and a potential respray...

Good Luck

Oh dear...............bonnet bra!

There building new houses and the roads are **** lots of stones pebbles n grit so serves it purpose

I think flushed tailgates and 3 spoke wheels are both of th same era so it should work well.

It won't be to everyone's liking but do you really care about everyone else?

I love 3 spokes! :) (no ........im serious!)

3 spokes done right looks great!

I was going to change the wheels as they wernt my taste but there genuine rays engineering 2 piece forged 11" on the rear and 9" on the front and now the centres are Vxr Arden blue and look great when clean .. With it been a little car it looks better in the flesh suits the wheels

And pastyboy your right no I don't tbh :) :)

From the edge of the number plate lights underneath its 13.5/14" and the plate Ive bought last night is the same metal pressed 13" long 6.5" high so will sit tight and flush with no gaps either side as if it was meant to be there from factory so to speak.

It's getting done Tommorrow night so will post up pics and stages to try help anyone wanting to do it Incase I encounter any probs

Where did u get the short pressed plates from??
