What a surreal week. I hadn't even planned to go, then I was aked if I'm going. OK, I'll go clubstand I thought on thursday. Friday I thought 'sod it' 1 X Track session please Jason. Paid on saturday and now I'm off to Lidl's for a crash hat Looking forward to it a LOT now!

True but all the ones at Combe are visors, so i think i'd rather get one like that and i won't look like someone with their face stuck in some lift doors!!

I didn't think the need for full face was justified as I have a windscreen in my modern Skoda automobile and with an open lid visibility is much better, this is my opinion anyway.

I think a trip to demon tweeks is in order too for some OMP gloves, OMP racing shoes and some OMP racing overalls.......... NOT.

A guy at Oulton Park had all of the above and his Renault Megane RS 265 (or something like that) it helped as he was the only guy to hit anything hard all day!

If you do need to buy one, you will need to measure your head circumference. If you follow my link above to the Amazon helmet thing I think they have a link to a guide for measuring your head.

I also hired a helmet at Oulton so as I could take passengers, I was more of a taxi service than a want to be racing driver lol
