Is this a simple procedure? Anyone got a walk through?

Pull out the rear ashtray behide the hand brake and tighten from there, 11/13mm socket/spanner needed iirc

Nothing on mine for about 4 clicks! Really need to pull it up to get it to work.

Check they ain't seized before adjusting. Otherwise the wheels will just be locked when the hand brake is down. Done that myself to find they were seized and had to undo what I just done. Quite annoying I can tell you.

I don't think they are - I would smell burning brakes when driving plus they would get warm?

I think it just needs tightening - thanks for the heads up

Mine got hot but I couldn't smell them. Worth a check.

10mm ring spanner works best

I've got a flexi-head 10mm ratched spanner i use for most handbrake adjustments.

As said tho check the handbrakes going fully back to the stop position on the calipers, when mine was going slack and needed adjusting it turned out to be the common sticky calipers and needed the return springs fitting. With discs and pads ont he rear you shouldnt have much play in the handbrake only a few clicks should be fully on. Also helps if you press the footbrake at the same time as applying the handbrake as well.
