New Engine + Service Plan

Featured Replies

Morning all,

As you probably know I'm having a new engine fitted to my Fabia vRS as we speak...

My question is though:

Under my 2 year service plan I was due a service in 2000 miles (ish)... As I now have a brand spanking new engine, will this service carry forward or will I effectively just lose it?

I'm going to call Skoda CS but thought I'd ask here first...

Cheers

Id expect two services when that new engine is scheduled for them - check with Skoda CS and get something in writing would be my advice though.

The car needs its mechanical services and inspection as any vehicle does..

ie vRS Fabia.

2nd year or 20,000 mile service, Pollen Filter & vehicle Inspection & any remedial work or maintenance.

3rd year, before Vehicle Standard Warranty expires & its MOT.

Brake Fluid Change possibly. Checks inspection.

**The 4th year, 40,000 spark plug change will be different.**

Its going to be Vehicle miles & Engine miles to monitor.

Did the New Engine get a new Air Filter???

one of the type of things to consider.

Brakes need inspected, Bushes, Steering, car service matter as normal.

All safety matters.

The new engine then needs its 12 months, or 10,000 miles Oil Change,

or Flexible servicing.

All things to talk over with Skoda UK.

Get them to Warranty the replacement engine for 3 Years,

& free Servicing oil changes of it, as a minimum. IMO.
