I've just bought another mondeo

Featured Replies

To replace the old commuter mobile. Very nice it is to, electric everything, cruise, aircon and full leather interior. I still have the old one sitting on the drive, so checkout the forsale forum.

Sounds nice, any pics?

I know the feeling.

I've been rebuilding my car port this week and had nearly finished today when it started chucking it down.

I have two thirds of the roof on :(

A few piccies taken lastnight as it was getting dark. From the pics you can see that the rear door is a slightly different colour and the rubbing strip isnt straight. That along with some minor bodge repaired accident damage to the rear drivers side near the light cluster is all that seems to be wrong, still as I said I got it for a good price and knew about these points as the dealer pointed them out to me.

Looks tidy, not a fan of the wood on the dash, but the leather looks good

I had a "p" reg Ghia X, and it was a really nice car -my wife was really sorry to see it go, as she loved driving it.

I think the only problems I had were front disks, the mysterious Ford hot weather stereo problem and the local Ford dealer.

Good luck with the car, Manny!

Nice, but it's an auto!

Great if it's a commuting car, perfect for traffic jams :)

I brought myself a '97 1.8 Mondeo same colour as yours Manny. Cheap, roomy as returns a suprising 40mpg for commuting and that's mostly 30 min journeys to work and very little on the open road/motorway. Mind you, I rarely rev the engine above 3.5K 'cos it sounds well harsh compared to the Octy, and doesn't really speed your progess anyhow.

Looks nice - and your website is great.

How much is the 94 mondeo going for ?

and as if luck would have it on the way home the thermostat in the engine decided to go awol, only problem is it got stuck in the CLOSED position so I had to find a route home that avoided to much heavy traffic so the engine wouldnt overheating whilst at the sametime developing a fixation for the engine temp gauge. Got home and the fans are going 10 to the dozen but the rad had no water flowing through it.

Hopefully this car wont turn out to be a Fix Or Repair Daily one.

I replaced the thermostat not long after I brought my Mondy back in Feb, it was opening prematurely and the engine was never getting up to temperature. Easy job on the 4 cyl engines.
