Help needed in Yorkshire

Featured Replies

Hi, logged in for the first time today. I hope someone can help with advice on a problem i have with my W reg Octavia estate. The courtesy lights in the load space keep staying on when i shut the tailgate. This is causing the alarm to go off as soon as I set to leave the car. I assume that the light switch is going faulty. The question is..where is the switch on an estate, how do I get to it and can it be repaired. Help soon cos the neighbours are getting fed up listening to the alarm going of every time I try to lock the car. Thanks for any help. Cheers

I don't know for sure where the switch is but will check. Why don't you remove the bulbs for the time being until you get it sorted.

Sorry to be so long, just found the reply button!!!. I already tried removing the bulbs from the holders, but this did not work. If I slam the tailgate some times the lights go out, then the alarm will set OK. Must admit I thought that doing the bulb thing would have sorted it!!
