expose smic a bit more

Featured Replies

Any way to expose the stock smic I've already put louvres in the wheel arch and I have seen some folk remove plastic around the fog light.

I thought you could just remove plastic easily around the fog light as I think there is a channeling duct to guide the air to the fmic so.don't want to disturb that.

Cheers

There is plenty of flow through the foglight apperture - the problem is there is no where for the air to go once its been through the intercooler (so no flow!) Remove the drivers side wheel arch liner - cut a hole on the arch liner (just behid where the intercooler sits) and fit one of the plastic house vents (mine was from B&Q for £3) to stop debris damage to the back of the intercooler - job done!

Ok if you read my post I've done that.

My bad! You can trim the foglight cover a little - to make the gaps bigger

On my old toledo, I removed a lot of material from bumper, almost making it totally exposed to airflow. Also made lots of holes in the wheel arch liner.

Not much difference to inlet temperature I'm afraid, as its too small in the first place and heat soak sets in very quickly.

Aint that the truth!
