Two Tone Yeti

Featured Replies

Yes, they charge you more to paint the roof on top of the metallic cost.

Personally I'd wrap the roof.

When the fashion wears off or you change your mind you can remove it.

Yes, I wrapped mine. Cheap and changeable as said above!

Yeah I have a muscovado with black roof, I really like the two tone look. It's an ex demonstrator so I can't help with the cost from new.

Cheers

Is it possible to see a photo of this combo? Thanks :)

I have a muscovado with black roof, it is what you call a Adventure aldow they call it here a Oxbow version with a Reef package and the color is called mato brown with a black magic roof (what's in a name....)

That looks amazing. I'm totally torn between this colour combo and the bronze/black roof combination....oh decisions decisions...

Bronze will be far more unique.  Go for that.

I must say...that's my gut feeling too - have just finished building a modern eco house where most of the materials are moley/taupe grey - if I parked the muscavado outside I think it would dissapear against the backdrop!

Just struck me that the original Yeti concept vehicles had two tone colour schemes. The combination of a white roof with a blue/orange/grey body colour looks quite attractive and unique.

I'd like to get my red yeti roof wrapped as it's got a few scratches on it. I just wonder how they do it with the roof rails. I wouldn't have a clue how they come off.

I wouldn't have a clue how they come off.

Hi Andy - Torx bolts under the end caps secure them down. The end caps are held in place by "Friction Clips" locating into the roof rail base.

Took a picture of the base (front N/Side) whilst an end cap was missing some time ago. I will attach it here so you can see for yourself.

Hopefully someone else may come along with the workshop manual answer, but I hope this might be of help in the meantime........................Tony

Thanks for the advice Great yeti. I think I'll wait until the summertime then decife what I'm doing. I'd like a monte carlo black grille surround first.
