something like this is a good cheap alternative. You can then replace the Cone filter maybe later for a better version like a K&N

I think they come pre set but come with instructions anyway.

Yes Golf one is the same. So is the Seat Leon Cupra and Audi A3 as they all use the same engine and air system and the filters all bolt up the same.

Just don't go for a Audi S3, or LCR as they have 3" MAF so the hose will be bigger although these are not common on the web anyway.

Those mushroom are not very good a filtration and keeping dirt out, plus they do not have a very large area which is what you should be looking for.

They should be kept for Scooby's Although would never put one on mine when i had a scooby.

Cheers the one I linked or any similar style to that should be the same as mine. A lot of folks on this site use the same as that link and do ok.

thx, I found a carbonio in the for sale thread, I worked out by the time I added a K&N filter to the cheaper Ebay one, it would work out a similar price, so might aswell go with the better one to start with.. so the HKS mushroom will be off soon hopefully
