Snooper s3/s4

Featured Replies

Anyone got any experiences of these, is it worth paying the extra for the S4?, been told by a salesman not to believe the Auto Express report about the differences as they are basically the same unit, he was recommending the cheaper unit.

Personally I would go for the new Road Angel. I have the old one and it has saved me a few times when I have been travelling in unknown areas. It still has the laser detector.

I have a snooper s5r for sale in mint condition

I've had the S4 for a while now and can't fault it. Nice and compact. I slod my old cumbersome Road Angel to get it as it was just too large. The new RA2 is quite nice though. My Dad, girlfriend and 2 of my mates have one too... :)

The specification difference between that and the S3 is minimal, although I can't remember what it is... :o

If you read the comparisons, the Snooper range always comes out pretty poor. Bel 550 Euro seems to the the one to have, picks up Gatsos about quarter of a mile away when set to 'Motorway' mode, and very few false alerts.

Get one quick though, before the election the government failed to get legislation to ban radar and laser detectors, but they're having another go now that they are back in power.

I've had a Bel Euro 550. It is quite possibly THE best 'radar' detector on the market. It's not a GPS/Laser Detector though. I agree, the Snooper 'radar' range is quite poor, their GPS range on the other hand is quite remarkable. ;)

The Snooper S3/S4/S6 etc. are all GPS/Laser detectors and are quite frankly superb...

There's not much point having a 'radar' detector now and they've been well and truly surpassed by the GPS detectors as the false alerts have been almost eradicated. The radar sensors, although still useful, react to door sensors and numerous other sporadic transmissions which render the device useless.
