quick, cheap petrol motor but decent mpg?

Featured Replies

bike will probably be worse on gas than a car. most superbikes have pretty awful mpg.

Mind you your getting around 1000hp a ton with an R1 which is better than a Veyron.

You do not need a superbike ie 1000/1100 cc, 600/650 are quite fast enough to eat all but the very quickest cars. Also can do 50 mpg with ease..

Cupra r will never get 40mpgI had the 180 octy vrs. Best EVER was 42mpg and that was driving like a saint! Average was around 30! Normal easy driving was 36/37
Mate of mine says he could get 40 mpg on the longer runs ie 40 mile plus. We just has the Leon Cupra and not the R and it was strange that it did worse than the Mk 1 VRS despite having more gears. Less aerodynamic but handled better when pushed.

Trying to have your cake and eat it, are you? Don't work. The best you can do is Remap your you Fabia and give it some welly, My Mk1 VRS was 205bhp and 35mpg, definitely fun and frugal, as good as it gets.

It's now 220bhp! And 45mpg+ :giggle:
