ooooo, now that's something different. looks like the monte is going to be phased out to be replaced - black one looks like it has monte wheel arches and it has a visible exhaust....

So as it seems they will introduce the monte bodykit besides the monte carlo and bring a red gigaro rim plus color coded spoilers and wing mirrors.

Really like the red/black combo hate the stripes though on both.

I did wonder what the Dealership was doing with this horror.

I never thought that it might be future options.

Great, my replacement car is due in Feb and I don't like the new badge!! Sounds like I will have 'skoda' written across the back and a new VRS badge as well - like it how it is at the moment to be honest. Had assumed that this would come in with the fabia replacement and not with 2013 existing fabias.

Good grief! Words cannot describe my thoughts on the black and red one. Still, Halfords remains in business so maybe I'm the oddity :-)

Wonder how much of this will get past SUK; not had a Sport since the pre FL MY10, other than the Special Edition Monte (yes even my 62 plate is classed as such; option code E1T = Special Editions) :wonder:

They are all to often appear to go out of their way to ensure the UK market is completely at odds with anything available to other European customers.

That looks like the one i saw at Simpsons in Great Yarmouth and yes it does look ****.

It has gone from Autotrader today,

along with 4 other Silver vRS that were advertised this week.

There is a nice vRS Estate in Black Advertised, never seen one of those in the flesh.

Wish they'd just get on with the Fabia Mk3. They should have done it instead of bringing out the Skoda Vapid. Also why not offer a Vrs version at launch instead of 3 years down the line - would it be so difficult?

Cannot see a new Fabia until 2014 if Skoda are going to the trouble of changing the badges etc. and modifying the press tooling for the rear hatch door skin to accommodate the change. Fabia II is not quite six years old, albeit on a modified Mk I chassis, compared to say the Octy II which is three years older (but a newer floor).

Spoke to SUK today and apparently badge changes come in from wk05 build, my replacement car is due for wk04 build at the mo, so fine by me as prefer the proper badges!!

Pic of the new steering wheel from a Monte. Looking good. Still no flat bottom though. Maybe for the vRS eh eh?

I'm not keen on D wheels, Hated the one in the Ibiza when I test drove it.

Changes are on the configurator now, can see the new steering wheel and gearknob.

At the back there is Skoda on the left and on the right Fabia with VRS underneath.

Anyone seen a new 2013 fabia its 3 weeks since wk5 build started guess there must be some in uk by now?

Spoke to my local dealer yesterday and he said no further details on the black/red white/black cars at the top of this post will be released until April, he was under the impression they will be just a basic car with alloys, graphics and the low power petrol engines.

Anybody else heard anything to the contrary?

How do you know what week-build your car is on? My car is due in next week and I was kind of hoping the new badge would be on it.

SUK can track your car build and location, just give them a call and they can do it all from your name and where you ordered it.

My replacement car has been at the dealers for a week or so now, but I am waiting till 1st March for collection to get a 13 plate.

If mine was built in wk4 (apparently) then it should have the current/old badges which i prefer anyway. If your car is due at dealer soon then is likely it was built wk5 onwards, so will probably have new badges.

As well as the new skoda nose/tail badge, they have also added the 'SKODA' badge on the back where the VRS badge is currently. The VRS badge is then fitted under the FABIA badge (opposite side to where it is at the mo) and sits under the crease in the boot lid.

Fingers crossed mine is the old badges........

A scout estate though rather than a vrs. I can't decide whether i prefer the old or new badge tbh.

Sounds like ours are arriving in the grey arae between the old and new badges. Lucky dip!

my gearbox leaked oil on my first journey away from the dealer last november when it was brand new (thread on here). After two weeks in a hire car they finally replaced the input shaft seal. I saw the car as used and requested a suitable refund, they seemed more happy to order me a replacement car, i was happy with that and now it has arrived!!!
