20TFSI vs 2.0TSI advantages?

Featured Replies

Octavia has CCZA code 200ps, GTi,Scirocco, Passat, Leon etc CCZB 210ps. Amounts to a different stock map, same engine mechanically.

Google it if youre interested at all.

Just because something has a different name doesn't mean they have changed anything you know.

Call me old fashioned but I fail to see the logic in changing the mapping for 10PS.

Anyway we seem to have digressed from the point of this thread.

You asked I told. Skoda have a different mapping for this engine, much like Audi do with some of their engines, 143ps 2.0 TDi, 185ps 1.4 TSi, 180ps 2.0 TFSi for example. Its therefore not strange at all.

Yes agreed moved off topic end of then

Edition 30 & Cupra? 230 v 240...

The A1 1.4TSI comes out with 185ps, the Golf 1.4TSI 170ps, the vRS/Cupra/GTI 180ps.

Purely matching the different visions of each part of the VAG group Seat tend to set them up a bit harsher/ sharper They get away with it because the buyer is tuned to it (they are the sporty part of the brand)

Doesn't the 1.8 TSI Superb get 158bhp and the 1.8 TSI Octavia SE+ only get 148bhp? Both detuned versions of what Audi give 180bhp?

So are Skoda doing the tensioner foc before any problems? I'm getting a little worried as I've only 6 months warranty left. Thanks

Highly unlikely - this would only occur if there was a recall issued, and there isn't.

Oh well ill just have to hope it happens in the next 6 months, cheers

Or better, never!

You can always purchase a warranty

Indeed, you can extend the warranty for around £400 a year for as long as you want to.

or get the later part fitted which might cost less than the warranty (or just buy the extended warranty in which case you covered for lots of other stuff too).

2 engine failures in Bradford . One my mates. I jumped ship as I did not want one

even with warranty my mate had to threaten with a solicitor until they paid out

Cheers guys I will look into the new part, any ideas on what exactly I need and a rough cost? Thanks
