Show me some figures!

Featured Replies

Had the fabia on the dyno today.

Standard apart from an AWESOME GTI remap and a homemade decat with K&N panel filter.

I was quite happy with the results!

What have you had with similar mods?

Same, however the figures above are nothing to write home about because we don't know what it ran standard likelly around 140-145BHP and we can't see the rev's.

Each column = 500rpm at a guess.

Not bad dude :) sharp old torque spike but must be fun to drive :D

There were a couple of threads on bhp figures if you can find them, like a leaderboard type thing.

Possibly a bit out of date though, but may give you an idea of figures and mods.

That tourqe curve looks abit sharp to me. Also you might want to try hide your number plate better, its on there twice.

Well spotted Joe!

Not too fussed about that really as I know I have uploaded photos of the car with the full plate before.

Yes I did think the same with the torque. I could barely hold it straight before i swapped for the powerflex bushes!

Very sharp at the bottom end but it has resulted in a noisy DMF.

Just thought i should warn you :)

The lads who did the dyno were considering making a FMIC kit for the vRS - trying to undercut the Forge system. Fingers crossed. They had a 1100BHP skyline on before me. I was a little bit embarrased following that!

Yeah but getting home for less than 5 pints of later beats a fuel stop every 5 mile which at that bhp it will be haha

I would sooner have my skoda!

It was one of the early ones. (P Reg)

Allegedly Redline Magazines show car in days gone by.

Awful bits of trim stuck on it.

Did sound phenomenal though!!

I got 173.6bhp@3839rpm & 289.7ft/lb@2262rpm after remap.

Before was: 144bhp@3777rpm & 253fb/lb@2229rpm.

Car is totally standard and the graph is smooth (so I've been told by people who have seen it)

Eric, Is yours a BLT engine?

Yes BLT engine here's the graph:

That is very smooth!

Would be interested in seeing the real world performance. I very rarely push mine past 3500rpm.

Could this torque spike be a result of my driving?

It does feel very different now, 2000 miles after the remap, I was told that the car would "learn" my way of driving?

Before:-

After:-

Not the best of pic but it's 182.5bhp and 277 lbs ft.

This was just a Awesome Gti remap. When I later fitted a FMIC, I managed to do a 1/4mile time at Santa pod of 15.9 @ 87.9 mph

Another Smooth map!

No wonder my wheels spin and the DMF is poorly!

Have we got anymore?

I would live to have a ride in a smoother mapped vRS, you're closest so far Southy!

Any chance?

Here's mine

That's my old red vrs which has gone to the car grave yard, my new one has an AMD Essex map on it which I think is slightly smoother, but also feels less powerful than my old one. Yeah sure don't have a problem taking you out in it :)

Not very standard. RR from 2010 I think this was. Just pulls and pulls then, stop "ooops, there's the limiter" Still 270bhp @ 4,700rpm.

On topic :dull: , with similar mods I would say you would be looking at approximately 170bhp and 300lbs/ft; both of which figures, if the car is driven wisely should not give issues with standard turbo and clutch. Enjoy!

To the OP, personally I'd want a smoother map than that.

It's got too much of a sharp torque spike.

Driviability with a smooth map is far more important that having 181bhp instead of 175.

It makes the car quicker and doesn't break things.

So not very standard.

Nice figure. I dont know whether mine has been remapped, happy with it as it is (for the time being).
