New Yeti Configuration

Hi T.

Annapurnas are much better looking than spitzbergs (but individual choice I know).

Auto dimming mirror is great if you do lots of motorway night drives (which I do).

I always get TPM, not perfect but have found is very useful on previous cars.

go for heated windscreen if you can well worth it.

Tow bar prep is really for 7 pin connections, you will need an 'upgrade' for a euro socket if you tow a caravan.

off road button useful not sure about hill hold, (whats wrong with a handbrake!)

My gobi leather seats are dissapointing quality (but wonderfull colour) so no loss there in the SE Plus.

Cheers.

FuzzyBunny, thanks for the suggestion on 'Annapurna'. I agree 110%. But the Skoda Configurator only gives 2 options - the 17" Dolomite or the 17" Spitzberg - there is no 'Annapurna' option. I was really disappointed about this because I had seen photographs and YouTube video with the 'Annapurna' and I really like them. See attached JPEG.

Q. : So if 'Annapurna' is not an option on the Configurator can I simply ask the dealer to specify these?

As for the "Hill Hold"....... you should see these hills - this will definately be £95 well spent. At the current cost of things that only represents "a dinner for 4" and the local pub - - .... !!

No.

The standard Skoda kit is the 13 pin one, what ever spec you go for.

You now have to specify if you want the UK 7 pin.

All manufacturers now fit 13 pin sockets, as it is the EU specification.

Agree, the only addition is for split charging which is rarely used in EU but most UK 'vanners require it.

7pin electrics were abandoned by UK manufactures a couple of years ago. It's only used now for box/luggage trailers.

Posted before I saw Fuzzybunny's post.

I had a VW Multivan a few years back ,and specced the detachable Westfalia towbar factory option, and can confirm that it was supplied by factory not dealer, and came with 13 pin euro socket and split charging as standard, so would hope that Skoda supply the same configuration.

(posted in the detachable towbar thread as well)

The split charge system is not part of the standard wiring, but has to be bought as a seperate system. It is only the UK market that insist on it, and to be honest it isn't that useful. I gave up wiring it into my cars some years ago. Charge to the battery is minimal and most caravan fridges will only keep to the temperature they are at on 12v. Plus it can't work whilst yopu spend 6 hours on the ferry to France!

Dealer uses a different system/configurator so must be able to order annapurnas.

Ask about the £400 tow bar option as well which others have mentioned.

Cheers

I thought Annapurnas were only an option on the Elegance.

Yes the Anna's are only available as a cost option with the Elegance or standard with the L&K.

The SE Plus comes as standard with Dolomites, otherwise you can have Erebus five spoke alloys FOC or Spitz's as a cost option. Anything else you need to declare war with SUK :giggle:

That was my thinking also. However, they are after all only a "bolt-on" item, so surely the dealer would be flexible enough to specifiy them even if it meant that one had to pay a little extra....?

Yes? No? Perhaps?

Ah didnt realise that, what a shame.

I still think the 5 spoke dolomites look nicer than the spitzbergs though (IMHO)

Unlikely you would get them as a factory option without SUK approval; the dealers ordering system will only allow them to select options specified by SUK not what Skoda Auto have to offer. Although there is little actually stopping them being factory fitted, other than a build code input and getting the nod from the aforementioned SUK. However they have a bad habit of not being interested in customer requests and adopt to use a comedy phrase 'the computer says no' attitude to such approaches. Just ask the majority of the 'Special Build' club :giggle:

You may be lucky but trying to cut a deal with the dealer to exchange the factory rims on arrival for Anna's might be the easier option, albeit more expensive route, unless they have an Elegance demo on Anna's and their willing to swap your Spitz's or Erebus alloys :wonder:
