Want a decent phone holder for my fabia, any recommendation? Want somethin good quality that's not goin to bounce around or rattle, and I don't want my phone jumping out of it at the slightest bit of acceleration.

It depends on whether you used meths or alcohol as the anaesthetic before opening up your ear.

As others have said, expensive but not found any better

Used Brodit in the Octavia & Audi, have a Dashmount in the Superb.

These were used with a Bury THB kit BTW

How does that connect to the dash?

Pictured here in my Fabia, but still using it on the new car.

(I've definitely had my moneys worth out of it)

Minimalist as you can get and not pig ugly like some.

No drilling, no wires and removable without a trace.

It's been in my last 4 cars, I just pull it off and renew the backing tape

each time I put it in a different car. I have a stanley blade (Ground blunt)

which on my current phone is stuck to its battery with a small offcut of di noc

vinyl, the back still goes on fine and the blade is enough to be attracted to the magnet.

Job done. You can get them on ebay for just under £2 delivered.

What phone have you got?

^^^ If you mean me and not the OP...

The one in the pics is an old phone, I'm currently using

a nokia 3720c but is soon to be replaced with another.

I've yet to find a phone you can't get a stanley blade in behind the battery cover.

I don't go for these massive smartphones mind you, too big, too fragile

too expensive (When it could end up in a bucket of cement on day 1)

and too complicated.

As others have said, Brodit. i'm on my third powered brodit holder - I use my phone as my satnav and they have been faultless. Combined with a Brodit clip means no drilling holes in the dash. When I took the holder and clip out of my old octy there was no real sign the clip had been there.

Is there any which would hold the phone but keep the camera free so you could mount it on your windscreen and use the video whilst driving?

My brodit one leaves the camera free, but the bracket sits too low, so the view is obscured by the dashboard.

Not sure how close the Note and Note II are. I have one of these for my SGS2, there's a cut-out for the camera and it mounts to the screen. So far it's not fallen off. It'll charge too (with a car-charger) and you can connect a 3.5mm jack to the back and connect to your AUX-In, if you've got one.

Bluetooth and shirt pocket does mine.

Think twice about thread titles next time.

Ré the bra; she looks Chinese or at least Far East Asian - they ALL wear padded bras, even the ones WITH boobs.

Cheers for that rainbowfire.

Another brodit vote.

I can thoroughly recommend this,

http://www.halfords....tegoryId_165452

It initially appears expensive, but having spent over £100 on phone specific holders, and then it is cheap by comparison.

The advantage of this is you can transfer it from car to car in seconds. I have used a Galaxy SIII and a Tyrepal 1000 Receiver on it without any snags.

The only downside is the Stephen Hawkins style commentary on the video!!

I have a galaxy note and just use the plastic type with a flexible arm and universal holder that just clicks round to secure it in place. Have had it on the dash for a year with no problems. Stable and sits neatly between the steering wheel and drivers door attached to the window.
