Which bolts to use for 20mm & 15mm Hubcentric Spacers..

Featured Replies

Hey Everyone,

I am about to buy a pair of 20mm & 15mm hubcentric Spacers from Demontweeks..

http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/wheel-spacers/demon-tweeks-hubcentric-wheel-spacer

..and I have no idea what bolts I need to buy..

So can someone please state which bolts I need to purchase?

.. and perhaps find me a link for some off demontweeks?

Also, are these spacers decent? I presume they are but they are fairly cheap compared to others..

Thank you :)

Aaron

If you plan on running standard wheels you need a radius wheel bolt.

Standard wheel bolts are 30mm (actually 27mm but let's keep it simple) you need to add the wheel spacer thickness onto the bolt. So for a 15mm spacer you need a 45mm long bolt etc.

Don't buy them from Demon tweeks.

But them from JJC Race & Rally, they are demon tweeks but cheaper and only operate via mail order (PO Box). They sell the spacers and bolts sets for £45 delivered.

Cheers Dan! I presume this kit doesn't come with locking wheel nuts? Is there a 20mm kit too?

No they don't mate but you can buy a set of extended locking wheel nuts. Remember that the 15mm extended ones would be fine to use on the 20mm spacers.

But I can't say that the 20mm extended locking wheel nuts may be too long with the 15mm spacers.

Make sure you mail order though as if you turn up there they won't sell you them under JJC.

Oh right okay.

My apologies but I'm a tad confused.. the items you have listed via ebay are by JJC.. but instead of buying them normally I should email them?

Sorry if I seem slow..

I think I've just realised what you mean.. Don't physically go to their store as they won't sell them to me as JJC right?

Yes that's right mate don't physically go to the store :)

Also when fitting put some copper grease on the back of the spacer it'll make them easier to remove in future :)

Are your wheels radius or extended bolts?

Well from what I can see the standard bolts on the car are radius r13 14x1.5 27mm so I need the same but length increased to 42mm
