Hi all,

I am getting bored of not doing any mods to my RS. SWMBO has said I can't spend anymore money on the car because we are going to need all our cash for our first child due in Feb!!! However, I maybe able to work something out.

So I need your advise on what I should do?

My current mods are as follows:

1: AmD 230bhp kit

2: Uprated brakes and pads

3: Koni dampers and H&R springs

4: Dual Audi TT IC

5: 19inch wheels and tyres

6: Uprated clutch

Ideally I would like to replace the turbo with a Jabba kit. Change the dampers to KW. But I wanted to know is there anything else I should do? My budget should be around 5K (don't let her indoors know). But I don't want to spend all of the budget if I can.

To be honest I find the setup a bit to bouncy (nice techincal term) for me. Although the Konis are adjustable they either too hard or to soft. I would go for a KW setup if I was you.

Yea nitrous sounds good, neons will get me shot, I have a thumping system but I could with it being a bit LOUDER!!

KW are a bit expensive - Variant 2 @ 1.350 EUR, while Konis (or Bilstein sport) with H&R springs are not more than 900 EUR. Anyway, I have the time to think about it and take some more opinions.

You should also think about uprating the wishbone bushes. It's a good mod.

Lloyd, if your serious about another new turbo wait till we've finished the project car (Golf mk4). Mods on car at the mo, awaiting map:

6 speed Quaife box

Quaife Diff

Ported and Gas flowed head

Lightened and balanced pistons and rods

Racing bearings through out (big and small)

Custom made FMIC with over engine pipework

Garrett T28 ballbearing turbo with custom made manifold

2ltr stroker kit

ABD Racing 3" Decat exhaust with titaniam back box

Variable two stage Nos kit

Switchable anti-lag kit (not fitted yet)

Lots more to come.

In theory all of the above should fit onto an Octavia, watch this space.
